I. Job Summary
Managers employees and operations of transportation logistics, onsite leachate duties, and onsite contractors.  The person in this role will be responsible for plant operations and maintenance, conducting lab work, completing spreadsheets, coordinating purchase of parts/supplies with our purchasing department. In addition responsibilities will include  maintaining pump stations, taking level/flow readings, collecting DRM samples for effluent tank discharge to the POTW.
Shift is day shift 7am to 5pm ( but be on call since the plant operates 24/7)

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. 

  • Oversee loading, spill control, pump operations, and safety at lagoon complex
  • Logistics planning for all leachate third party haulers to various disposal locations
  • Oversee personnel needs of the department including coaching, training, and evaluating employee performance. Responsible for hiring/termination, compensation, and promotional decisions for employees.
  • Reviews and evaluates work to ensure quality, timeliness, and ensures quality control in adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Assembles and analyzes data. Tests and monitors results and creates appropriate reports.
  • Serves as a liaison between site and vendors, contractors, management, security, and others
  • Executes necessary precautions to ensure safety and compliance with Company, OSHA, and other standards and regulations
  • Plan, organize, and manage leachate system design, construction, and operations

IV. Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience
  • Education: Associate's Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience: 7 years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement).
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
  • None required.
C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
  • Preferably mechanically inclined to assist with repairs

Normal setting for this job is: Treatment Plant ( Treatment plant operates 2 bioreactors  + 2 clarifiers for chemical precip for metals and TSS removal. They have 3 effluent storage tanks. Effluent gets discharged to a local POTW.)
