Job Summary
Directs the development of the market planning and development strategic plans in the manufacturing and industrial line of business consistent with established corporate strategic plans, and ensures their proper execution.

Ideal Candidate Experience and Background:

  • Owns the development of a strategic business plan for each of our competitive markets that takes into account the competitive landscape, our competitive advantages and other opportunities that enables the delivery of our long-term strategies. 
  • Establishes objectives which will enhance operating unit effectiveness and delineates responsibilities and authority.
  • Listens for and understands customer expectations and needs, removes barriers to customer service, sets high standards for and focuses others on best in class customer service.
  • Uses financial expertise to develop strategy for organic growth. Understands the link between operations and financial outcomes, makes sound business decisions via on fact based analysis, sets and communicates realistic and stretch financial goals.
  • Uses his/her knowledge of the industry, organization,  competition and our customers to identify growth opportunities and develops robust recommendations and implementation plans. 
  • Influences other leaders within the organization to understand and support business development initiatives and changes.
  • Reviews and evaluates competitive markets performance from an external perspective and on a continuing basis. Sets targets and re-aligns our business as necessary to achieve our goals.
  • Identifies and develops greenfield operating locations, as well as expansion of current post-collection asset network in order to deliver growth and lead the marketplace

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Other minor duties may be assigned. 

  • Develops and implements a market planning and development operating plan, consistent with the accomplishment of long range established objectives which will enhance operating unit effectiveness and delineate responsibilities and authority.
  • Listens for and understands customer expectations and needs, removes barriers to customer service, sets high standards for and focuses others on customer service.
  • Uses financial expertise to develop strategy for organic growth. Understands the link between operations and financial outcomes, makes sound business decisions based on seasoned analysis, sets and communicates realistic financial goals.
  • Uses knowledge of the industry, organization, and customers. Develops, identifies areas for improvement for growth, and develops and executes practical solutions. Including identifying competitive market leadership for growth.
  • Influences others to understand and support organizational initiatives and changes.
  • Reviews and evaluates the operating unit performance on a continuing basis and establishes proper measures of performance.
  • Identify and develop new greenfield operating locations, as well as expansion of current asset network
  • Growth of assets and developing and growing our post collection market.

 

III. Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (accredited) in Business Administration or similar area of study, 
  • Experience: 10 years of prior work experience similar roles (in addition to education requirement).

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

  • None required.

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

Prefer - 10 years Industry experience in leadership roles.
